Overview

Smart Marketing Lab is hiring a Senior Fractional Engineer / Fractional Technical Lead to help stabilize, maintain, and improve a live production app: Quantum Revenue Systems™ (QRS).

QRS is not a basic marketing site. It is a live AI-powered revenue infrastructure platform with a React frontend, Supabase backend, Stripe payment flows, gated client portal, admin console, analytics, lifecycle automation, and AI-assisted delivery.

Internal system audits have identified production hardening, payment-flow reliability, test coverage, webhook safeguards, endpoint protection, and release discipline as current priorities.

We need someone who can safely work inside an existing codebase, improve reliability, and make careful production-minded fixes without disrupting core revenue paths.

This role is for you if you have real experience with:

• React + TypeScript in production

• Supabase, PostgreSQL, auth, and Row Level Security

• Stripe checkout, webhook handling, retries, and idempotency

• Debugging access, onboarding, and entitlement issues

• GitHub pull request workflow and safe release practices

• Writing or improving automated tests for critical user flows

• Working in an existing production codebase without proposing an immediate rewrite

What you’ll do

• Review and manage the codebase through GitHub

• Diagnose and fix production bugs across frontend, backend, and payment/onboarding flows

• Improve reliability of checkout, webhook, account provisioning, and portal access

• Review Supabase schema, RLS, edge functions, and operational risks

• Add safeguards, logging, validation, tests, and better release discipline

• Help reduce technical debt without breaking live functionality

• Provide practical engineering recommendations ranked by business risk and effort

What matters most

We care more about production judgment than speed.

This app touches revenue, payments, access control, and client delivery. We want someone who knows how to isolate failures, protect live flows, and improve systems safely.

Strong candidates will have done things like:

• Stabilized live Stripe payment and onboarding flows

• Fixed webhook issues and added idempotency safeguards

• Worked with Supabase RLS in production

• Improved inherited production codebases without slowing the business

• Added E2E coverage for revenue-critical paths

• Created a clear GitHub workflow for safe shipping

Engagement model

This role will begin as a fractional, contract, or part-time engagement. We are open to a longer-term technical leadership relationship if there is strong alignment, trust, and execution quality.

Access and evaluation process

We use a controlled access process. Candidates will not receive full production access during the application stage.

The process may include:

• Limited-access trial

• Expanded access only after trust and technical fit are established
